“In 2018 I will be racing my second season in the ADAC TCR Germany,” Austrian Simon Reicher proudly presents next year’s plans. A lot has changed for the 17-year-old in the past weeks since the final race at Hockenheim Ring. “When we heard that the experienced ADAC GT Masters team, YACO Racing, wants to get involved in the 2018 ADAC TCR Germany season, my father and I were immediately in agreement”, explains the youngster. After a first joint testing day, YACO Racing’s team principal Uwe Geipel was clearly enthusiastic: “We observed Simon this past season and internally agreed that he is a real motorsport talent, who we would like to support with our experience. The first testing day was very impressive – Simon has everything a racing driver needs. We see great potential for success and are excited to work with him.” Simon’s father Peter Reicher expressed very positive feelings regarding this new collaboration: “After Simon was awarded the Vice-Champion Rookie Award at Hockenheim Ring, we realized we need to up our game to reach the next level. When the offer from YACO Racing came, we were happy to be on board with a highly experienced team that is right at home in the “super sports car league” of the ADAC GT Masters.” Further tests are still planned for this month.
