Super successful race weekend for Simon Reicher and his team Yaco Racing! The Austrian managed to fulfill his podium-wishes at the Schaufler Paravan Race Weekend at Nürburgring. On Friday he drove his first GT3-win home when he was the first to enter the finish line of the DMV DUNLOP 60 race. That race was also his first one in a GT3 car on the legendary Eifel course. His two DMV GTC sprint races were overly successful as well – with a 3rd and 2nd place. So it’s no surprise that the conclusion of the talented Kirchberger is very content: “I am extremely satisfied, and so is my team. We are so happy that everything went so well. It was a fantastic race weekend! After the Dunlop 60 race, I was in the position to celebrate my first GT3-win ever. That feeling was indescribable. We are also really excited about the fact that we had our first pole position and won the race. Given the fact that it was only our fifth race that is huge. The pole position in the GTC race was so amazing as well because it was a premiere for me in a GT3 car – simply dope!“ The A-level-graduate can be extremely proud of this race weekend. And it also should give him power for his next races.

Where does the ambitious Yaco Racing-pilot see himself in the DMW championship? “That’s a good question. We will definitely give our best. But we missed out on two races in comparison to the others. The worst result will be deleted so I am still missing one race which means I got zero points there. Let us see how the other pilots drive. Maybe they will miss a race or two as well. If that is not the case I think it won’t be an easy fight“, the Austrian reports honestly. Especially, his two colleagues from the Mercedes Team Race-Art would be incredibly fast. So the sprint races would be particularly difficult. At DUNLOP 60, on the other hand, the 19-year-old sees better chances. „I think we have better chances to finish DUNLOP 60 with a good championship result. It is easier to drive for an hour than to participate in sprint races where it is going to be extra tough“, Simon makes up the balance.

The next race will be from July 5 to July 6 at Hockenheimring. „I cannot wait for Hockenheimring. That is going to be amazing. We will try to repeat our successes from Nürburgring there and try to make it to the podium again“, Simon explains with pleasant anticipation.
