Strong Finale in the International GT Open: Reicher and Haase Secure Third Place in the Overall Standings

Monza, Italy, October 19, 2025 – For Eastalent Racing and team principal Peter Reicher, the finale of the International GT Open in Monza was a weekend full of emotion, excitement, and outstanding teamwork. The clear goal: after winning the championship titles in 2023 and 2024, the team aimed to secure a third consecutive title. In the end, however, the team could still celebrate a strong third place in the 2025 season.

“The preparations actually went just like for any other race weekend,” explains Peter Reicher. “Only this time, we knew it was all or nothing – as the saying goes, it was do or die.”

Three-Way Battle for the Title at Monza 500

The legendary Monza 500 marked the season finale – a 500-kilometer race lasting about three hours, with double points up for grabs. Three teams fought for the title right until the very end, which added even more excitement.

Already in free practice, the team from Kirchberg near Mattighofen (Austria) showed a strong performance. In qualifying, Simon Reicher delivered a phenomenal lap that laid the foundation and placed the Eastalent Audi R8 LMS evo II in second overall position.

Christopher Haase initially secured pole position with his qualifying performance – but the joy was short-lived: a competitor filed a protest for exceeding track limits, and their five fastest laps were deleted. As a result, the duo was relegated to seventh place on the grid.

From there, Reicher once again demonstrated his skill at the start, fighting his way up to fourth place and defending it all the way to the finish. With this result, Eastalent Racing secured third place overall in the championship.

Team Spirit and Development in Focus

“Simon has developed incredibly over the course of the season. I’m very proud of that,” emphasized Christopher Haase. “The team delivered an exceptional season – both on and off the track. This family feeling is something truly special. Despite difficult circumstances, we never gave up and always stayed focused.”

Simon Reicher also draws a positive conclusion: “We both had a strong qualifying session and got the most out of it. Unfortunately, the Balance of Performance (BoP) was once again not on our side. Essentially, we were not racing against our competitors but against the BoP. Still, I’m proud of our performance – our Audi R8 LMS evo II is in perfect condition. We have nothing to hide from anyone. We’re perfectly prepared for whatever comes next.”

Outlook

With third place in the championship, Eastalent Racing once again proves its consistency at the top of the GT Open scene.
Looking ahead to the coming season, the team declares: “No matter which series we compete in for 2026 – we’ll be a force to be reckoned with.”
