The second Creventic-Race in 2019 is just around the corner for Simon Reicher. After the 24 Hour Race in Dubai, the Austrian participates in the 12 Hour Race in Mugello this upcoming weekend. Like in Dubai he is going to start for  Car Collection Motorsport but he will be driving with other colleagues. In Tuscany, he will share an Audi R8 LMS with the three German drivers Stefan Aust, Christian Bollrath and Peter Schmidt. The Austrian can’t wait to start racing in Mugello: „I am so excited. I have never driven in Mugello before. I’m sure that I will gain new experience.“

The talented 19-year-old admits, that for the 12 Hour Race he prepares in the same way he had done for Dubai. „I especially work on my stamina. I want to be in such a good shape that I can handle the workload. This time I’m in a team with experienced long-distance drivers. Let’s see what we can achieve in Mugello. I just really hope that we have better luck than in Dubai, where we exited the race due to an accident“, Simon reveals. For some, it might come as a surprise but the young Kirchberger who is also a student in 9th grade at the Private Secondary School Felbertal uses Youtube for the best preparation possible. He admits: „I try to prepare myself by watching on-board-videos on youtube. It’s a great way to set up for the race track and I always have a close look on gears, braking points, and lines.“

With the Creventic-Series Simon wants to gain experience for the ADAC GT Masters. Due to the fact that in 2019 the GT Masters will be the main series for Simon and the new team T3 Motorsport.  Could it be helpful for Simon during the 12 Hour Race that he already had two rollouts in Oschersleben and Most with T3? „No, actually it’s the exact opposite. With the Creventic-Series you can gain new experience, especially when it comes to Set-up you can learn a lot of new stuff“, explains the Kirchberger.
